The Rotary Club of Jalgaon Greencity organised the innovative eco-friendly initiative “3030 Clay Ganpati Idols”, bringing together 3,030 students from schools across Jalgaon city to create their own Ganpati idols by hand using natural clay (Shadu Mati).
Each idol was installed at the student’s own home, promoting the message of an eco-friendly Ganesh festival. As a result, the immersion of around 3,000 Plaster of Paris idols in Mehrun Lake was avoided — helping reduce water pollution and contributing meaningfully to environmental conservation.

The initiative was led by Mr. Dinesh Suresh Thorat, Project Head, Rotary Club of Jalgaon Greencity, in association with Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Jalgaon.
